Bluetooth is a standard for the wireless data transfer with a relatively short range. In the meantime the Bluetooth function is integrated as a standard in many mobile devices like laptop, smartphone, mobile phone or other peripheral devices and allows the fast and uncomplicated data exchange between two devices.
 
During the transfer of data Bluetooth reaches transfer rates up to 2 Mbit per second and so it’s a good alternative for USB- or LAN-connections.
